A lot of folks are unclear of what the word “intensity” means. We often associate intensity with what ends up being overtraining and a waste of time. To avoid that, an understanding of how to apply intensity to your training based on your intentions is necessary….:)
With this lil reference I wrote down, be sure to not misunderstand the aerobic as a period without lifting. I will never suggest anybody discount weight training, as it is far more valuable than anything else.
The key🔑 is to keep weight as heavy (you did not grow squating 135 so you ain’t going to keep your muscle with it either - keep it heavy) as you can while increasing volume, speed, and lessening rest periods. Incorporate circuits and super sets into your routines and add some cardiovascular a few days a week.
I prefer sprints and step mill, as those cardios will not only generally shred fat but will preserve lean mass per all the muscular engagement.
