Do you want to get a little blood flowing in the AM, but accidentally hit the alarm too many times and missed getting to the gym before work? Try this quick circuit at home. You need nothing but your bodyweight and the ability to count…. haha! If you complete each prescribed rep and repeat the circuit four times, you will end up doing 624 reps total. What a fancy way to start any day! ...

Never give up
Will you get tired? Absolutely. Will you be tempted by things that are no good? Every day. Will you want to sleep instead of train in the morning? Sometimes. Will you ever wonder how you can possibly make it to the end of the day? Sure.   Should you give up? Absolutely not. Never.     Being committed to what you care about means pushing everything negative to the side and finding a reason...

Interest VS Commitment
There is a difference between interest and commitment. When you are interested in something, you *might* do it here and there….when circumstances permit and you *feel* like it. On the other hand, when you are COMMITTED to something, you make absolutely no excuses, and you do not miss a day. You do not *forget* to set your alarm to wake up and train, or *forget* what to eat and when. You do...

Fitness: Farewell Fat routine
Hello! Pardon my absence - I have not been afforded much time to get any notes together this week. Do you need to kiss your excess body fat FAREWELL, but cannot seem to find the right key to get started? Your nutrition plan is going to be HUGELY significant when it comes to dropping body fat %, but I am not going to get into that for this particular publication. Instead, I wanted to stir...

No excuses, just success
When you are looking for excuses to make, you will do anything you can to find them. When you are, instead, looking for ways to get stronger, you WILL grow and succeed. I understand that not every day is perfect, not every meal is delicious, not every adult responsibility is easy, and not every lift is immediately successful ….but I also believe that every bit of what you do in effort of...

Hello - I hope this meets you well! Fitness and nutrition are a marriage, joined together by discipline and knowledge. Fitness: German Volume Training (I: 1wk/mo)
Hello :) I am so sleepy these past few days. I feel like I could just stay in bed - if only I could fall/stay asleep! I hope everybody had a fantastic holiday weekend. :) I have started including German Volume Training in my schedule again after having stopped to focus on powerlifting and transitioning into a Physique routine, this time only saving 1 week of each month to do it. This is the...

Syntrax Nectar Protein: Cappuccino (Icee)
Top of the morning to you! I just got in from my AM Cardio Flow this morning and it was fantastic! Lindsey and I decided to split our cardio with 30m @ 3.7, 12%-15% incline and a little over 20m on the stair-stepper. Despite the shortish amount of time we had, it was pretty intense and a whole lot of fun! I wanted to show you my protein shake this morning. It is absolutely DELICIOUS and...

“It’s about pursuing passions, but it’s also about living your life with the utmost level of excellence and determination as possible. Constantly pushing the envelope day in and day out to be the best that you can possibly be. That’s how I see it and that’s what I believe. The human potential that we all possess is limitless, but it’s truly up to us to push...

“If you are not actively pursuing your passions in life, you are NOT living. It doesn’t matter what it is, could be bird watching, bug collecting, scrap booking, music making, DJing, dancing….ANYTHING that moves you. Not everyone’s passions are the same but they are passions. Do what you love to do and you will be much happier in life. Don’t wait until your life has come and gone to realize that...

Jack LaLanne (inspiration)
*Image found on http://www.google.com/ Hi! My name is Jack LaLanne. At age 21, I opened one of the nation’s first gyms. At age 42, I did 1,000+ pushups in 23 minutes. At age 70, while handcuffed and shackled, I towed 70 boats/70 people for a mile and a half in the water. At age 95, I wrote a book called LIVE YOUNG FOREVER and decided that…. ….by age 96, I was never really going...

Lamar Gant (inspiration)
Lamar Gant, one of my favourite powerlifters. “Google” his name and the majority of the images displayed will more-than-likely be of his deadlifts, as he is better known for his fancy pulls.   I like this photograph because it shows that even with a lousy advantage on the bench per super long arms, Lamar made the most of his body by maintaining an extremely strong and flexible back -...

Giveaway: Blender Bottle & recovery treats
Greetings~ It is the last day of 2011! Fancy fancy. Do you use a blender bottle? I use them at least twice every day, for both protein and BCAA’s. I clean the bottle(s) as soon as I can after using them, but sometimes that could be a few hours - in that case, I leave it in the sink to soak, so it is good for me to have a few that way I always have a clean one. :D I like the mini blender...
